In the 1960s, Don Barrow embarked on a mission to create the ultimate Map Magnifier. Between 1969 and 1971, he dedicated himself to designing, refining, and meticulously testing what would later be known as the Don Barrow Light. With unwavering determination, he oversaw every detail of its production, from crafting molds to shaping dies and tooling.
Even today, these magnifiers are meticulously crafted using the original molds Don fashioned half a century ago. Initially sporting a grey hue, they later transitioned to orange before settling on the current black versions.
For navigators, the quality of their Map Magnifier speaks volumes about their dedication and professionalism.
