The original alternator that looks like a dynamo! Designed, tested and built by Powerlite, this unit delivers the performance of a modern alternator whilst retaining the period look of a dynamo. Built with OE rated components at their facility, every Dynalite comes with a Lifetime Warranty.
The Powerlite Dynalite is an alternator conversion, providing the benefits of an alternator with the look of an dynamo. The Dynalite unit is identical in fitting to your original dynamo, however unlike your dynamo the Dynalite is a self regulating alternator, meaning the existing control box is no longer required. Some wiring changes must be made. The changes can be made at the existing control box as described below.

Ensure your Dynalite has a good earth, particularly if the vehicle has been recently painted.
Ideal for both road and competition use the Dynalite provides up to 80% more power and weigh up to 40% less than original dynamo units. The Dynalite units are produced in a wide range of different models replicating original dynamo units, thus allowing the Dynalite to directly replace dynamo units with no modifications to the vehicle. In many cases the original dynamo pulleys can also be used on the new units, creating a simple and reversible alternator conversion.
The self-regulating Dynalite units offer increased reliability and performance charging efficiently across the full rev range. The wiring changes required for the units are very simple and reversible.
